David Odegaard is currently an adjunct music professor at Tennessee Tech University and Volunteer State College. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from The University of Central Florida and a Master’s degree in Music Theory from Southern Methodist University. As a professional bassist, David performs in several Tennessee area orchestral and popular music events including the Oak Ridge Symphony Orchestra, TTU Faculty Jazz Ensemble, Big Band Sound Orchestra, Cumberland Jazz Collective, Truly Clueless band, and the Sacred Encounters praise band at FFGUMC. “I believe that performing music has no higher aim than inspiring worship – and the soul.”
