Project Description
I was raised in the Church and Confirmed into the United Methodist Church at age 10. My ancestral families have been Methodist since the early 1800s and I have many family members who have served as United Methodist pastors, lay leaders, and district superintendents in the legacy Tennessee Conference. I answered a call to ministry that was placed in my heart at the age of 16, when I was 39. My undergraduate degrees from Martin Methodist College and Athens State University (1988 and 1993, respectively) were in religion, music, and psychiatry. My MDiv (2012) was completed at Vanderbilt Divinity School. I married my high school sweetheart, Rob, and we have been married for 32 years. We have four amazing children and three wonderful daughters-in-love. Andrew is 27 and lives in Shelbyville TN with his bride, Sydney (Dec 2022); Connor is 25 and lives in Tullahoma with his wife, Gracie (Nov 2021); Grant is 23 and lives in Manchester with his fiancé, Hannah; and Grace Elizabeth is 18 and lives with us, attends Roane State Community College, and works at The Bed and Biscuit. I am passionate about family, babies, reading, kayaking, traveling, tea, football, and, most importantly, about sharing the love of God and the power of Christ-like living. I am excited to be in ministry with the people of Fairfield Glade UMC and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for us!
